BIMiTs Datalink

One of the biggest challenges in BIM software for the construction industry is to extract detailed BOQ information from your model. Autodesk Revit allows us to generate schedules and material takeoffs from the designed model. Though in a lot of cases, the detail level of the information is not high enough. Besides, quantifiers and cost calculators need this data in spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel in order to process this data.

With BIMiTs DataLink extension for Revit we offer you a one-click function that extracts defined data from your Revit model to Excel. The extracted data can not only be used for BOQ purposes, but also for structural analysis of analytical models, energy calculations using thermal data, … The user has the possibility  to customize the Excel workbook with own formulas, layouts, ... and link the Revit parameters with the custom fields in the workbook. The data is exported separately for each Category, Material, Project Information, ... used in the model. This results in detailed BOQ tables that can be processed and filtered further on in Excel by other departments in your company.

Once the model is changed users can update their changes to the extracted spreadsheet, in order to have the latest version in their quantification documents.
